“Take the keys and go” …. That’s what Big4 Holidays Parks wants to tell the winner of a $250,000 road trip package so they can create travel content for them.
And they are running a competition whose prize package includes a car, caravan, accommodation and fuel allowance.
Applications are closing on Monday, April 13; click here at The BIG Aussie Review to visit the site; all that is required is for you to submit a 60-second video about something you love.
The winner will travel the country for 12 months, reviewing destinations, experiences and hidden attractions.
BIG4 Holiday Parks CEO Sean Jenner says: “The best storytellers aren’t always the ones with the biggest following.
“We want to find the person who lights up talking about a hidden surf break or a pub meal in the middle of nowhere and give them a year to show Australia what they’ve got.”
KEYS TO PRIZE PACKAGE
One lucky winner will receive a prize package worth more than $250,000 including a Ford Ranger vehicle, Crusader Lifechanger Bunkie caravan, 365 nights stay in BIG4 Holiday Parks accommodation, fuel and weekly food allowances, $10,000 worth of domestic gear, iPhone 17 Pro with plan and Starlink satellite connection, and content creation equipment worth $8000.
“Australians don’t need a passport to have an incredible holiday – the best trips are right here but we know cost is a very real barrier right now,” Jenner says.
“The BIG Aussie Review is our way of saying: here’s the van, here’s the keys, here’s the budget. Just go,” he says.
A company statement says that recent research shows 47% of Australians rank travel above other discretionary spending with 83% of those willing to make trade-offs to make a trip.
At the same time, domestic tourism is surging, it says, with Australians expected to spend $183 billion on local travel by 2030 (click here for more on domestic tourism spending).
The journey will take in destinations from coastal and regional towns along the eastern seaboard, across the Top End and into Western Australia then through South Australia and back up the eastern states.
