Several tremors have been felt across Brisbane and the northern suburbs after a magnitude 3.0 earthquake hit near Caboolture.
It was confirmed by Geo Science Australia that that earthquake hit at 1:25 pm near Mount Byron, west of Mount Mee. Residents across Brisbane and the northern suburbs could feel tremors with people in Kilcoy, Samford, and Bowen Hills reporting to have felt their “desks shaking” for about two to three seconds.
A resident of Mt Nebo, which is an hour away from Mt Mee described it as a “huge rumble; like thunder”.
There have been no reports of damage.
