South Australian police have arrested a woman after she supposedly stabbed her two children in a car late last night.
According to the report, officers were called by a member of the public to the North South Motorway at Wingfield around 11:30pm last night.
They told authorities that a woman had been detained after it’s believed she stopped her car, took her two children out , and stabbed them with a knife.
The bystander saw what was happening and pulled over to stop the woman, taking away the knife while other people who also stopped their car, helped to detain the woman.
Police say that the children-from Modbury Heights- were taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital by paramedics after sustaining critical injuries but are now in a stable condition.
The mother was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital where she awaits- to most likely-be charged with two counts of attempted murder.
An investigation has be opened into the incident but police are urging anyone with information or who may have been witness to the stabbing to get in contact with Crime Stoppers.
More details to come.
