Night road works will include the demolition of a building at Morayfield near Brisbane, Queensland, as preparations continue for a road widening project later this year.
The site is at the corner of Morayfield Road and William Berry Drive with work to run from 7pm to 5am; one westward lane of William Berry Drive will remain open to traffic in both directions.
A vacant building at 193 Morayfield Rd will be demolished during the works; other activities will include installing fencing, the removal of an existing slab, removal of waste material and the installation of a new pavement.
Councillor Adam Hain says that Morayfield Rd, William Berry Drive and Caboolture River Rd should remain open to traffic during the work.
“Vehicle access to businesses at 193 and 197-199 Morayfield Rd and 10-14 William Berry Drive will remain available via William Berry Drive and Morayfield Rd,” he says.
There will be signs with construction equipment to be stored onsite.
The councillor also says that other preparations for the widening work includes landscaping and the completion of a new car park for Morayfield State School this month.
“Once the new car park is up and running, final footpath and garden works will immediately follow,” he says.
