Authorities discovered the body of a 24-year-old man in a property at Glen Eden on Easter Sunday after conducting a welfare check.
An investigation is underway after the discovery was made before 1pm yesterday in a town near Gladstone. Police also discovered a 50-year-old woman and 20-year-old man with injuries, the pair are believed to the dead man’s mother and brother according to the Australian Associated Press.
They were taken to hospital and an official crime scene has been established by the Blaxland Court with Gladstone detectives beginning their investigation. It is expected that authorities will hold a press conference on Tuesday detailing the man’s death.
Welfare checks are usually carried out when a report is made about someone who others believe is in some sort of peril according to SuicideLine Victoria.
Gladstone police are not looking for anyone else with involvement in the incident. An update will be provided when more information is known.
