Known for his role as Beverly Leslie on hit TV show Will & Grace and becoming a social media star, 67-year-old Leslie Jordon has passed away after a car accident.
It’s believed the actor suffered a medical episode when driving his car in Los Angeles, which resulted in him crashing into the side of a building. Emergency responders declared him dead at the scene.
Jordan’s agent, David Suhl confirmed the news, saying “the world is definitely a much darker place today” and that the entertainer helped bring joy to the world through his social media channels, especially throughout the pandemic.
“Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times.
“Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”
At the time of his death, Jordan had 5.8 million Instagram followers and 2.4 million followers on Tik Tok with his videos amassing millions of views.
While he’ll most notably be remembered for his role on Will & Grace, Jordan had a lengthy film and television career that spanned more than 30 years.

Jordan moved to Los Angeles in the 80s to pursue an acting career but fell into a vicious cycle of drugs and alcohol. By the 90s he overcame his addiction and was appearing regularly on TV.
Tributes have poured in from Hollywood with Lynda Carter saying, “Leslie Jordan put a smile on the faces of so many, especially with his pandemic videos”.
Sean Hayes, who starred alongside him in Will & Grace, also expressed his sadness, saying his “heart is broken”.
“Leslie Jordan was one of the funnies people I ever had the pleasure of working with. Everyone who ever met him, loved him. There will never be anyone like him. A unique talent with an enormous, caring hear. You will be missed, my dear friend.”
He is survived by his identical twin sisters Jana Lynn and Janet Ann. His mother passed away in May this year at the age of 86.
