A 10-year-old boy onboard one of the two helicopters that crashed on Monday has been placed in critical condition.
Nicholas Tadros, also known as Nicky, was onboard the helicopter along with his mother, Vanessa, who was tragically killed along with three others.
Nicholas was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he was placed on life support.
Simon Tadros, Nicholas’ father and Vanessa’s husband, who was not onboard the chopper posted an update to Facebook, informing of Nicholas’ condition.
“I ask everyone to pray for the little man.” Mr Tadros said.
“He is on life support in a critical condition.
“May God pull him back with me and make a good recovery.” He said.
Vanessa and Nicholas were on the ascending chopper the collided with another on its final descent.
Along with Vanessa, Sea World Helicopters pilot Ashley Jenkins, and a couple from the United Kingdom, Diane and Ron Hughes were also killed.
Three passengers of the crash are currently in hospital, including Nicholas.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has begun an investigation into the crash to determine the cause.
Aviation experts Ron Bartsch and Neil Hansford have currently said there seemed to have been no mechanical faults.
