Former US President Donald Trump was arrested on his arrival at Fulton County Jail in Atlanta on Thursday, where his mugshot was captured.
“Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis,” Trump wrote on Truth Social earlier in the week.
Trump was charged with illegally scheming to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.
Atlanta jail records have confirmed that he was booked on 13 charges — some offences have more than one charge.
The charges are:

It is believed that he spent less than 30 minutes inside the jailhouse — the proceedings were over quickly as he had previously negotiated his bond.
A bonding agent confirmed that Trump paid his bond, which was set at US$200,000.
Trump travelled from Newark airport to Atlanta in the private jet which he nicknamed “Trump Force One”.
By 8pm local time, he had arrived back at the airport to fly home to New Jersey.
“I really believe this is a very sad for America which should never happen,” Trump said to the media on the tarmac.
“If you challenge an election, you should be able to challenge an election.”
Trump continues to maintain that he has “done nothing wrong”.
