The new terminal has been unveiled with the airport due to open late next year.
It’s Australia’s first international airport in 50 years. Now the terminal for the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (or WSI) has been unveiled. The design came from COX Architecture and Zaha Hadid. The inspiration came from the Greater Blues Mountains Area, the Cumberland Plain and the region’s First Nations custodians, the WSI explains. The interior fit-outs will be completed closer to the opening date. The airport is due to open in late 2026. Photos supplied by WSI
