Victorian landowners who get their BPAY View land tax assessment will soon have to change how they receive it. The State Revenue Office (SRO) says that from 30 November 2026, land tax assessments will no longer be delivered through BPAY View.
Only the delivery changes, not the bill
The SRO says payment options are not changing. What changes is how BPAY View land tax assessments reach customers. The notice was published on 15 October 2026, which gives customers about six weeks to sort it out.
Download your old assessments first
Anyone who currently receives a BPAY View land tax assessment should download any previous assessments they want to keep before 30 November 2026. The SRO page does not say what happens to old assessments after that date, so saving copies now is the safe option.
Sign up for My Land Tax or wait for the post
The SRO recommends registering for My Land Tax. It lets customers view, download and pay future assessments, update property ownership information, apply for land tax exemptions, track the progress of enquiries and update their contact details.
Customers who do not register by 30 November 2026 will receive future land tax assessments by post. To make sure those letters arrive, the SRO says the postal address held for land tax should be confirmed or updated.
For anyone who has relied on BPAY View land tax assessments arriving in their online banking, the simplest fix is to register for My Land Tax before the cut-off.
