Storm players Cameron Munster and Alec MacDonald have been cleared by the NRL match review committee on Monday (October 7).
In Sunday’s 2024 NRL grand final, the two were placed on report as Penrith fought their way to a 14-6 win but neither has been charged.
Munster went on report in the 75th minute after Panthers centre Paul Alamoti claimed he had been bitten while MacDonald was placed on report in the 78th minute after he made late contact with Nathan Cleary after he had kicked the ball
The Panthers became the first team since St George in the 1950s and ‘60s to win four premierships in a row. Liam Martin added to the team joy by winning the Clive Churchill Medal.
Harry Grant and Trent Loiero combined for 51 tackles in the first half as the Storm worked hard in defence; Grant went on to finish the night with 59 tackles, according to nrl.com.au.
The Panthers had 57 per cent of possession in the opening 40 minutes and went into the break with a 10-6 lead.
A crowd of 80,156 turned up to watch the game which saw Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy equal Wayne Bennett’s record of 10 grand finals as coach.
Panthers coach Ivan Cleary also became the first coach since Norm Provan at St George to win four premierships in a row.

Sharks Captain and NRLW Dally M Captain of the Year Tiana Penitani paid tribute to her team.

Cronulla Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta says they were proud of the team’s achievements in 2024.
