Multiple women have come forward and made accusations against North Melbourne AFL player Tarryn Thomas.
The women have accused Thomas of harassment and intimidating behaviour and have taken the accusations to the AFL’s integrity unit.
Thomas, 22, is facing criminal charges over threatening to distribute an intimate image, and over the Christmas break was pulled over by police for driving with a suspended license.
One woman claimed Thomas sent her texts which read “you’re a f**king joke…keep talking sh*t…sh*t going to come around soon…your turn will come…sh*t is going to go down…I’m not a n***** to be f**ked with”.
One of the women was reportedly hospitalised in 2022 as a result of an incident with Thomas, which has been alluded to being domestic and family violence related.
An AFL spokesperson on Tuesday said the League was working with Victorian Police on the matter.
“Any allegation of threats of violence against women is unacceptable and is behaviour that the AFL takes extremely seriously.” The Spokesperson said.
“The AFL has offered and will continue to provide wellbeing support to any person who has come forward with an allegation.
“The AFL has investigated all formal complaints where appropriate and where there have been allegations of criminal behaviour have facilitated contact with Victoria Police who are the most appropriate body to investigate allegations of that nature.
“Tarryn Thomas is currently the subject of criminal charges over a reported incident and while that matter is yet to be finalised in court, the AFL will continue to work with NMFC and Victoria Police and will monitor the outcome of the police action.” They said.
Thomas has not commented on the allegations to news outlets.
Thomas’ club, the Kangaroos, have also yet to make a public statement, however Thomas has been seen training with the club since the allegations surfaced.
