Queensland Fire and Rescue swiftwater rescue firefighters attended to more than 150 water rescues and evacuations in the last 24 hours up to Tuesday, March 11 across Ipswich, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
The Qld Fire Department says crews were called to multiple cars caught in floodwater, including at Palmwoods near Nambour early on Monday morning where two people were successfully rescued after a drone was used to locate the vehicles and guide rescuers.
Two people were also rescued from the roof of their vehicle at Redbank Plains early on Monday morning as well.
At Bunya Creek, a motorist was rescued as floodwaters threatened to fully submerge his vehicle on Sunday afternoon. All images supplied by Qld Fire Department.
