Led by the Massed Pipes and Drums featuring UK military musicians, the show will feature over 30 bands and acts from around the world including the Top Secret Drum Corps and from the Australian Defence Force.
Jason Barrett, CEO of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, described the response as “phenomenal”.
“To be announcing third and fourth shows at Suncorp Stadium is a true testament to the excitement and passion Australians have for the Tattoo,” he says.
“As we count down to our historic debut in Brisbane, we’re more inspired than ever to deliver a world-class spectacle.”
The Tattoo will also perform in Auckland, New Zealand, at Eden Park on February 19 and 21. The Auckland show will be a first for the Tattoo who previously played in Wellington.
“This upcoming tour will blend our Scottish traditions with the distinctive military heritage of Australia and New Zealand all set against the backdrop of two spectacular venues,” Barrett says.
