Singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks, best known as a member of Fleetwood Mac, has been honoured with her own Barbie Doll.
Nicks unveiled the doll during her performance in Madison Square Garden on 1 October.
“I have something very exciting to share with you a few hours before the rest of the world,” she told the crowd before revealing that Mattel had approached her last year.
Nicks wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that she was “overwhelmed” by the collaboration.
“Of course I questioned ‘would she look like me? Would she have my spirit? Would she have my heart…’
“When I look at her, I see my 27 year old self… What we have been through since 1975 — the battles we have fought, the lessons we have learned,” she stated.
“I am her and she is me. She absolutely has my heart.”
During an interview, Nicks explained that she was very involved in the design process.
She said the final product was “just perfect”.
The doll was listed for US$55 ($97) but has since sold out.
“Stevie Nicks Music Series Barbie doll wears a beguiling black dress inspired by the legendary Rumours album cover and holds her iconic tambourine,” the product description reads.
The doll is part of the Barbie Music Series — a collection that Mattel released to celebrate influential figures in the music industry.
The Stevie Nicks Barbie Doll is not currently available on the Mattel Australian store.
