Billionaire Elon Musk made his presence known at the Twitter Headquarters today after he walked in with a sink and a beaming smile.
The Space X founder posted a video of himself that was captioned, “Entering Twitter HQ- let that sink in!” while he literally carried a sink into the foyer of the building.
Following the video, he tweeted that he was “Meeting a lot of cool people at Twitter today!” while also saying “A beautiful thing about Twitter is how it empowers citizen journalism- people are able to disseminate news without an establishment bias”.
He also changed his Twitter bio description to ‘Chief Twit’, alluding to the idea that the $68 billion deal to buy the social media platform will go ahead and be closed this Friday.

However, earlier this morning Musk confirmed that he has indeed bought Twitter and the deal is going ahead.
Musk issued a statement on Twitter, detailing his reasons for buying the social media platform.
“The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence,” he said.
“There is currently great dangers that social media will splinter into the far-right wing and far left-wing echo chambers that generate more hate and divide our society.”
He went on to say that traditional media often pushes the extremes for monetary purposes but this doesn’t allow a safe place for discussion. Musk added that he didn’t buy Twitter for money but to “try and help humanity”.
“That said, Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences!”
“In addition to adhering to the laws of the land, our platform must be warm and welcoming to all, where you can choose your desired experience according to your preferences, just as you can choose, for example, to see movies or play video games ranging from all ages to mature.”
