The latest offering from the Italian masters of motoring style is coming to Melbourne later this month.
And there is a green tinge to the Italian orange.
The hybrid Lamborghini Revuelto is to make it Australian debut at the Motors & Masterpieces festival in Melbourne from November 22-24.
The Revuelto features a 1000hp V12 engine with three electric motors, say the festival organisers; its all-wheel drive can take it from 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds and topping out at more than 350km/h.
And the price? It was confirmed in December 2023 that the Revuelto will sell for $987,000, making it Australia’s second most expensive new car.
Reports are that demand for the vehicle will take production through to 2026, say the festival organisers.
The vehicle is 30 per cent more powerful than the Aventador while producing 30 per cent lower CO2 emissions with its hybrid systems that will also be used in upcoming Lamborghini models such as the Urus and Temerario.
“We are proud to have assembled the Motors & Masterpieces celebration of automotive excellence, with over 200 carefully selected machines set for the festival,” said Mark Jansen, Chief Curator of Motors & Masterpieces.
“We have placed a concerted effort into reimagining the format for this event, providing a unique opportunity for automotive lovers from all walks of life to be able to appreciate some of the finest vehicles to ever gather on these shores,” he said.
“Aside from showcasing the remarkable technological progress that has occurred over the ages, Motors & Masterpieces spotlights the incredible art expressed through worldwide automotive design.
“Beyond a car show, we will celebrate automotive heritage and the movement’s social and cultural importance, now and into the future,” Jansen says.
In addition to the Revuelto, other luxury classics appearing at the festival include the Aventador, Murcielago and Diablo.
Other ‘stars’ making an appearance will be the Maserati MC20, McLaren Speedtail, a Ferrari Enzo, Porsches (including the Singer DLS) and others.
At the inaugural Motors & Masterpieces festival, 10 themes or divisions will ensure something for every car and motorcycle enthusiast, covering various geographic areas and periods of cultural change.
